Nightmare on Elm Street Scavenger Hunt
The ultimate Elm Street adventure awaits! Families and kids of all ages are invited to the Nightmare on Elm Street Scavenger Hunt — a neighborhood-wide treasure hunt with clues hidden all across Springwood.
Nancy Thompson and Kristen Parker have designed a course that takes teams through Elm Street Park, past local landmarks, and into participating businesses along Elm Street. Solve riddles, find hidden tokens, and complete challenges to earn points.
How it works:
- Teams of 2-6 (at least one adult per team)
- Pick up your clue packet at the park pavilion starting at 10 AM
- Follow the clues across the neighborhood
- Return to the park by 1 PM to tally your score
Prizes:
- Every team gets a participation prize
- Top 3 teams win gift baskets from local businesses
- Best team costume wins a bonus prize
The hunt is designed for all ages — younger kids will love the picture-based clues, while older kids and adults can tackle the bonus brain-teasers. Wear comfortable shoes and bring water. The hunt covers about 1.5 miles of walking on sidewalks and park paths.
Refreshments and a prize ceremony at the park pavilion at 1:30 PM. Whatever you do, don’t fall asleep before the final clue!
